Sorry to hear about the back. I have a lot of big ass roots in my yard. I usually mow in 4th or 5th gear because time is not a commodity that I have an abundance of. A few times I have caught a root and almost went over the mower. I've got a couple of retired neighbors that manicure their yard like a golf course. They get a kick out of how I race around my yard on the mower.
Disaster prepper? As a kid I remember a book by a NASA scientist called, 88 Reasons the Rapture will be in 1988. My very religious neighbor had me convinced the gig was up. Also, growing up through the 80's I always thought WHEN there would be nuclear war, not IF. Not to mention the apocalypse we were led to believe Y2K would be. I have grown cynical. Here is my disaster plan now.
