Yeah got hit big this year but it's mostly my fault: Withholdings were screwed up and it didn't matter until I got a raise, which is good but also pushed me up a bracket. OTOH, I'm putting in about $650 extra over this next year and if I get that back, well .... hm, I think I could find some gear in that price range .... Kinda of like a savings plan for an impulse spender ....

I actually had a good customer service experience with ATT the other day. The cutie at the ATT store sold me on this Samsung Mythic phone. "Of course it has a web browser." She neglected to tell me it locked up every ten minutes and the touchscreen was useless. I took it back and the not-so-cutie who was there stuck me with a $35 restock fee. I called ATT to raise hell and, after 20 minutes on the phone, got $197 credited to my account as a pissed off fee. Not bad.

Now, I'm working them for a break on data plans for the family. Our bill is already at $240/month and if I add a full-on smartphone to my line, it'll hit $275. That's facking ridiculous for phone service.

To be honest, I hate getting refunds. Why the hell should I give them my money at no charge for a whole year? Nope, I'd rather owe a few bucks.

Normally I think that too, but after getting whacked THIS year I'd rather play next year a bit safer, then if all works out as it should, go back to aiming for zero point after that.

Backing up to Betty Page for a minute. The cool thing about her, is she did not feel a conflict between her photo work, nudity, and her religious convictions. That so works for me.
