That Seedy Table In The Dark Corner Where The Reprobates Gather

Mine was also a mandolin player in a bluegrass band. If my cousin had been a girl, his name would have been "Amanda Lynn," though that was completely unintentional. Kinda funny. My grandfather played every stringed instrument except the banjo.

And I didn't get a lick of that talent, that all went to Nate (a/k/a Amanda Lynn).

That's funny shit right thar. Would love to see that. Maybe I should ask the bluegrass group I've been sitting in with if we could do some Sandman.

Kinda funny. I was in the truck earlier listening to The Who and the iPod shuffled to I'm A Boy.

 Boy named Amanda Lynn.

How's the SG?

EG

It's fun. I always feel like a rock star when I play an SG. The Classic came last night. The third contender was shipped USPS parcel post from freaking CA, ugh. To make matters worse, looks like they tried to deliver it to the shipper the next day. :bfp: Gonna be a long wait to Thunderdome.

The most fun guitar of my new wave, so to speak, is on the brown truck right now. It requires a signature, and I'm still waiting on an approval from a judge here at work. If they'd hurry the fuck up, I'd bug out early to try to beat the truck to the house. I want to play it so muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch.

Yeah... :)

As of now, if I don't buy anything else and finances remain the same, I can keep 4 of my 5 new guitars. Two are safe: the Giffin and the PRS, and I haven't even played them yet. I can still keep two of the other three and hang onto the big boys.

I've considered that. Maybe a poll... In the end I'll decide of course, but those can get interesting. I'm always amazed when people actually ask strangers what they should do. At this point, the Standard's in the early lead (to stay). The Giffin and the Classic pretty much have identical materials/scale/construction, and the Giffin will undoubtedly do all of those things better, but the Classic is still a cool guitar that I regretted selling last year. It's officially the only guitar [type] that:

1. I've ever pawned [recovered it though]
2. bought directly because of one player on one album [Townshend - Live at Leeds]

So, the x-factor here is mystery vintage guitar that will probably never make it across the country.

I hate when a signature is required. I know it is for the best, but it makes me a prisoner of the house all day, and most days, I am not able to stay home and wait.

I got the Marshall MG4 Series MG101FX 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp from the SDOTD from a couple of days ago. It is supposed to be here tomorrow. I didn't need another amp, but for half price, I got it. One of my old guitar students has one and damn if it doesn't sound really good for a solid state.

Still at work, refreshing the UPS tracking page every five minutes, still waiting for a fucking signature. Ironic that I'm waiting for a signature too...
