TGP post/infraction of the day

No, i havent looked at it in quite awhile. I have discovered something very disturbing about myself, i am racist against insane people. I am one step away from putting a straightjacket on a stick and burning it in their front yard.

But i'll go take a look. :embarrassed:

this should be good.

For some reason or another, I kind of remember that Dumble pic in Guitar Player magazine circa 1970's. At first glance I thought it was Louis Anderson with a guitar.

"In this context I think both our guitar concepts deliver greatly on those points. Yours in the fine electrified acoustic qualities and workmanship luthier image-stuff. Mine are the sound one gets out of something that goes with them... like an acoustic but with the expanded capabilities of electrification. The primary differences are in the needs of the musician. And on that level there are definitely times when I'd prefer my flute!"

Hi guys,

I'm disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy my Dumble thread at TGP. Perhaps you were offended by some of the snide comments people were making about Dumble, his issues with obesity, Tag's tone. I can't control what others post, but thankfully TGP has some top notch mods that nip that kind of stuff in the bud.

I like HC alot, but i really like TGP because we can have really highly intelligent conversations like that, where you really learn about amps and how they work. You guys might like to talk about EVH reflecting his light--at the TGP we like to talk about why the light reflects like that.

Sorry if this was tl/dr.

All jokes aside, Tag does know tone. In fact we just dicussed over at TGP that Dumble amps actually retain more of the fragile harmonics. I don't totally understand the physics--but the electrons just can't live in other amps crystal lattice. Dumble knew this and this is why his amps are so sought after.

Imho, everyone hates on him just because his amps are really expensive. but it's basically a scientific fact based on particle physics that Dumble amps are more harmonically sensitive. That's why players that really know tone (ie Mayer, Robben Ford, etc) spend the money they do.

WTF.
This just proves that most guitar players has no fucking clue what happens to their sound after being miced with a 57 and fit into a mix.
Outside of a few guitar players overly anal about tone, no one is going to hear the fucking difference.

As for "fragile harmonics" - lolocaust. That's just silly.
