Tell me what you think of my new tune.

I think it sounds really good, the song has a nice relaxed feel. If you redo it Pro Tools you can add totally realistic sounding cellos with the plug in software (Sample Tank I think it's called)

Shit man that's way over my head and my singer inheritedhis studio from his step father so I don't think he's gonna be much help with it either. I put a line out on my local CL for a Celloist. We'll see what happens. I'm thinking two parts.

Do you think one of the spots should be kept for a guitar part? If so which one?

I think you could certainly get the keyboard to make a cello sound in PT if you really wanted to, but MIDI can sometimes be a huge pain in the ass compared to just finding a real instrument, a player and a microphone. Editing MIDI can be very tedious.

If it were me I'd do a little cello solo where the first guitar part is and then do the second guitar part with a cello pad underneath it.
