Wannabe
Ok, so I just left the GC. I played a mim, an FSR, an affinity and a CV.
Both the FSR and the MIM were nice. Great sound and feel. The satin neck feels great. Nice and smooth. Not sure what pickups were in them but the bridge growled and the neck had that sweet bluesy tone in both of them.
The CV had the lacquer finish on the neck and fretboard and I hated that. The pickups were pretty muddy in he neck. The bridge sounded good though.
The affinity had ok pickups. But he thing that surprised me was how comfy the neck was. The guitar overall had a "cheap" feel to it.
All of them had a maple neck/fretboard. And only the FSR and mexi had rolled edges(I think, not sure about the CV)
Maybe it's because I've never owned a maple board guitar but I much prefer a rosewood board. I'd like to try a 2 piece maple...
Both the mexi and FSR were great guitars and I like the reverse controls on the FSR...it seems to make more sense that way.
In any case none of the guitars I played today was a keeper
The search continues.
