chris uses some of the same licks that srv used (not proprietary), but chris also gets off into some jazz phrasing also, and often a bit over the top for me, but i still like him a lot. the guy went thru real hell, he was a heroin junky for a long time and actually got clean, but had to move completely across the country so that he knew NO ONE, so he couldn't easily get a fix. the fact that he didn't loose his wife says a lot about her.
i've seen him live a few times, and the dude seriously brings it.

He had a few tunes I was really into about 10-15 years ago, but I haven't really thought about him since. There was no shortage of SRV clones while I was living in Austin through the early 00s. He was probably one of the better overall guitarists who could get out of the box.
