I hear this are good sleeper guitars. Do we like them?

I love mine. Though I modded it with new pick ups. Mine is the CVC with tobacco burst and white binding. The other blonde one had pick ups (A3 magnets rather than A5) that I would have liked better stock. But mine turned out to be a great platform for modding, and I love the look. So, worked out for me. It is one of the guitars I play most now.

As modded.

Never owned one, but I tried a Classic Vibe thinline tele in a store once & I loved it. Probably should have bought it. Really had a great resonance to it.

I have never owned a Squier, but from what I've read they are the best value out there on a Fender type guitar.

Don't know specifically the Tele, but Squier is making some great stuff now. Better then some with the Fender badge.

I haven't owned one but I've played a bunch. They are really good. I'd gig one without hesitation.

I had no idea what these were, compared to other Teles. The Squier label never really bodes well for a good instrument (about to disprove this point!)

A coworker is leaving and moving out of town, he's getting rid of a ton of gear and GAVE me one of these. I offered to pay but he said I was doing him a favor. OK... I took it.

Very surprised, really nice instrument, plays well, solid, just really surprised.

Edit: Ok here it is for real!

Squier's always made some outstanding instruments. Will Sargeant of Echo and the Bunnymen played a Squier Tele for some time in the 80's, when they were made in Japan. The current crop of VM and CV guitars and basses are often excellent, and IMO preferable to standard MIM stuff, and occasionally preferable to 'nicer' FMIC guitars.

Like anything else that is mass-produced, you need to fish around for a 'better' rather than 'worse' one, but that's hardly unusual at any price point (Gibson, cough) with guitars.
