Special Edition Blacktop HH Jazzmaster Electric Guitar Black with Stripe - Today's Price...

Out of curiosity why swap out the stock neck? And what will you do with the stock neck?

The only reason I plan to swap it is because I think the guitar would look better with a birdseye maple fretboard. :embarrassed:

I haven't really played the donor guitar for a few years, so I'm repurposing the neck on it, at least temporarily.

I plan to put the stock neck on the Warmoth guitar that the birdseye neck is currently on.

Curiously enough, today is my wife's birthday. Ironic, no? :cheese:
"Happy birthday, dear. Look at what I got me."

So, I played this guitar at a gig last night.

It sounded great and played great... at first.

By the end of the first set, most of the saddle height and intonation screws had almost completely fallen out of the bridge.

I finished the night on my trusty orange Warmoth Strat.

I may be ready to call this guitar an experiment gone wrong and put it up for sale.

Try loctite blue, it's very useful on offset bridges.

Yikes.

I had a saddle height screw on one of strats that would loosen up. The suggestion above for loctite blue works.

Ouch.

I was going to try clear nail polish first, since I think there is some here in the house.

It's the Mustang style.

I'm not spending Mastery money on this guitar.

If LocTite or nail polish doesn't work, I'll sell it.

There are some cheaper mustang style bridges that sare supposed to be awesome. I can't remember the name of the big one. It is what everyone used before Mastery came along.

Edit-the Straytrem is the bridge.
