I got some pictures today from my bodywork guy.
He's on the home stretch of the mother of all body jobs.
I have to find room for this thing soon. My plan is to put the NewYorker in storage.

The other side is already done, but he didn't get pics when he was working on it.

Think he can come to orange and work in a 1965 C10 truck?

Charger? 68-69?

Yep. 69.

Originally a 383 base model car.

It's got just about everything that an SE car has but is not an SE model.

The original engine was gone before I got the car.
It came to me with a rebuilt 440 and that will go in when I get done.

Assembly will start this fall I guess.
I have a good bunch of parts that will let me get started and I'll buy what I need as I go.

Wow, that is perhaps the hottest American car ever made. The body looks really great. iI it were mine, and I didn't have kids to feel, it would get a 1000HP hemi motor and a trick modern suspension.

And, yeah, keep posting pics as the work develops. I'd love to see it take form.

Updated pictures.
He's going to take it off of the rotisserie and take it apart to start the paint.
It will just be engine bay, floors, door jambs, trunk, etc. I'll do the final exterior paint after I get some of the assembly done.

Yes, it's dusty.

My first wife's grandfather had one of those. Pretty much exactly what you describe this as being originally. He worked for Chrysler as a machinist in the 60's and bought it through an employee purchase program. It had never been restored, yet still looked brand new. I want to say it only had about 25k on the clock. His body wasn't even cold yet when his kids sold it. Greedy fucks, that whole family.

Beautiful car, I'm looking forward to more pics as the build progresses!
