At this time of year, I actually like being cradled in the warm bosom of the house watching the snow outside, fire in the fireplace...good Danish Hygge....after mid January...not so much

Meh, pretty sure deadly critters aren't exclusive to the Desert Southwest. New England may not have Gilla Monsters and Scorpions, but a bear could eat you just walking out to your car, or a Brown Recluse could bite you while you're grabbing firewood from the pile.

Nah, Michigan wolverines are pussies. Nothing to be afraid of there :wink: And actually there are no wolverines, the animal, in Michigan. We do have black bears though. Mainly in the north, though a rare sighting once in a while down here in the southern part of MI.

Our high today is 62° F, but Monday's high will be 39.
I rarely ride below 40° F.
 
I just did some light shoveling, and it's about 4F outside. out of the wind and in the sun, it's really not that bad. (ya buncha wusses)

I just had a Green chili cheesburger at Blakes Lottaburger and now I'm home sipping on a Becks beer with the doors open (a neighbor gave my dad a couple and dad doesn't drink beer anymore so i got 'em). I'm gonna settle in now and watch a buncha stuff on filmstruck then make some enchiladas for dinner.

Currently it's 79 at 1:13pm and from the picture below (*edit* now above :embarrassed: ) it shows the us map with the title "brutal january weather ahead"...it shows se AZ in the red :mad: If it's this warm (we're at about 18 degrees above average) then I fear what this summer will be (The Farmers almanac forecasts "warmer than average for s. AZ :mad:). So summer temps should be about 110 in early May about 95 by April 1st and Juy we can look forward to 122 :fml:

She’ll be in an airb&b in Oak Park - living with a family and six cats, which she loves. I guess it’s a couple blocks to an L station where she can get a train downtown.
 
I played golf today. It wasn't exactly pretty, but a sweater was enough.

As Tig posted, colder weather is on the way though.
