I once posted a looking to buy post on Craigslist looking for a Fender Jaguar. A dude that worked at a junkyard contacted me asking what year and model and left or right. I replied that I wanted a Fender Jaguar, not a Jaguar fender and sent him a pic.

I don't think I have anything that can rock the poop knife. I don't think they will fit on a 7/8 tele and my next buld will be a 7/8 strat body. I may be able to get the pickup and mastery on the strat build.

All my “Fenders” are either copies or partscasters. Strats and Teles are just too easy to throw together yourself.
About the only real Fender I have any real interest in might be a Jazzmaster.

Unless you have most or all the parts you need or are building something special I wouldn't think about building a partscaster. My 12 string Tele cost$800 to build. The only reason it made sense is because a real 12 string Tele is a unicorn
