To me the sounds to the MXR were close enough, and were warm and not so sterile sounding as the Boss seemed to be. And I like the trippy paint as it reminds me of a Catalinbread and will look good next to the Formula No. 5 when it is there. Plus I saved a good $40-50 over the MXR.
Unless you're running 2 amps in stereo, just keep it in mono.
A nice stereo rig can be awesome, but very few of us often get to do it on small cramped stages.
Or is that something a middle-aged guys used to do 10 years ago on guitar forms? Whatever, I’m doing it anyway. I am multitasking with my old bike on the trainer while un-boxing a pedal. You can follow me on Strava. ;-)
The thing looks like it was never used! I will try it with my Peavey with the amp’s reverb turned off later. And am excited to try it with my fender once the fender gets back from the amp tech.
On first test, this does the simple basic Reverb I wanted very nicely with a nice warm, natural tone. I was thinking I would want the spring reverb mostly because that is what I’m used to, but thinking for that purpose that I like the room setting better. It is a little less Obvious. Also, this thing has some interesting sounds to play with that I wasn’t counting on when looking for a Reverb. The halo setting which is kind of an octave thing it’s fun to mess around with. Might find a use for it.
