Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Oh yeah, was wondering what happened with that :embarrassed:
Yeah, nothing happened :embarrassed: it's a pain in the ass to find something that's actually worth the money and effort to move here. Let alone actually get it. The rental market is completely bonkers here...

As our current apartment is quite nice, especially now that we get a new kitchen and bathroom, we decided to just stick with it. We'd really like to move closer to the centre, but we're just sick of visiting places that turn out to be shitholes, looking at places that list themselves as a nice amount of square meters but in reality turn out to be measured in a very, very creative way and getting rejected from the few places we actually consider alright.

So the suburbs it is for a while. It sucks, I'm an inner-city boy, I've literally never lived more than a 5 minute walk from the city centre before moving here and having to rely on public transport to get anywhere sucks balls, but our current flat's just too good for the money to justify moving into some broom-closet sized studio in the centre.

Had an insane hangover yesterday but went out for beers at a friends place anyway. Pretty good times.

I don't even feel that bad today :embarrassed:

I was meant to go out again last night, but I crashed and fell asleep around 6pm. Woke up too late to go out

Also, in good news, a friend of ours is visiting another friend in Italy. Since she has two cats (the first two cats I know that I'm not allergic to) and our flat is a giant renovation mess we're now staying in the city centre with two cats for bit. Quite nice.

And renovation hell continues. Cleared out all cupboards and closets yesterday, gonna get new ones today, can't be home until they're done. Then after we have two days of peace before we have to have all the floors cleared and another day of getting kicked out of the house to have all the floors redone. Getting pretty tired of this stuff...

So my work has recently achieved charidee status and I volunteered to lead bids for funding and so on.

I've shamelessly fired off enquiries to every charitable fund I can think of.

This morning I received an e-mail from the celtic charity foundation inviting me to parkhead for a pow wow about how we can collaborate

Long weekend

Off to Lithuania tomorrow morning along with a few mates. Seeing Queen in Kaunas on Friday, which should be quite ok. :thu:

Suppose there will be a bit of beer drinking while there as well. :embarrassed:

Seeing Queen in Manchester soon. It will be the second time I've seen them with Adam Lambert. Very much looking forward to it!

We almost opted for the Newcastle show, but the Lithuania one was just better schedule wise for all of us.
Will be the first time I get to see Brian live, that alone makes me happy. :)

I'm off to Holland tomorrow. Going to see Prophets Of Rage then heading to Amsterdam. I may be some time :embarrassed:

I haven't bought into this snowflake nonsense as yet

However...

I nipped over to the West End last night to pick up a few core texts from the uni library and thought - "hmmm 6 o clock on a Friday, that used to be a jolly good lark in the union when I was a proper student, I'll pop in and see what hijinx the young'uns are upto."

Now when I was at uni Fridays from about 2 until 8 were carnage - you couldn't move, folk were throwing up whatever colour of aftershock was on offer that week, the tunes were great and you had folk dancing on pool tables and all sorts.

Maybe it's a Glasgow uni thing but their Friday mirth consisted of - about a dozen people playing a quiz, and a serious quiz at that - not a single bit of piss was drank nor armpit licked
