Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Man I ended up absolutely smashed last night.

I've invited folk round for a bbq in an hour and I'm still in bed with nothing in the fridge

Anyone watch May's excruciating performance the other night? She was destroyed, it was brilliant

Sadly no-one is paying any attention so it won't matter

Speaks volumes about the state of all of our political leaders at present...

Well, latest polls indicate the Tories will lose their majority...

I agree with jbj  that it would be better to sneak up on the cunts. But the Tories losing their majority would be AMAZING. They would tear themselves to pieces munch0

Not going to happen though.

Personally I'm looking for a good kick in the shins to the SNP up here poll wise regardless of who votes for who. I would love that cunt John Mason to go out on his ear because he's a complete clown who clearly shouldn't be in a position of power. Would be great if Robertson went to.

I'm sure I have your full fledged support behind me lads :embarrassed:

After tonight anything could happen. The Tories and UKIP got absolutely slaughtered in the debate. Wonderful :)

Lol no

The SNP has been the only party that had stood up for EU nationals like me.

If the Brexit vote had gone the other way they'd have found some way to be pro-leave just to have a major gripe with the Tories.

Who hasnt got a gripe with the Tories?

Plenty of people. This is what fucked the separatists in the Referendum. They're so pig headed they can't conceive for a minute that maybe just maybe, not everyone sees the world through their wee tartan specs.

'Separatists?'

The SNP have been voted by an overwhelming margin to lead this country. One of their manifesto points was that in case of a major change they would consider another referendum. Majority of Scots voted for this (ps I voted for the Greens, also pro-EU and Independence).

Unlike lying through her teeth u-turn Theresa May, they stick to their guns.

I think I'll just quit while we're ahead...

I think you know yourself the two cases are entirely different

They're not really.

The leave side fundamentally sees it as a way to break away from being ruled by what they see as an undemocratic and unjust foreign power.
They're more savvy about hiding it or dressing it up than the brexit mob but there's plenty of xenophobia behind the nationalists support, just as there is in the leave support.
They don't particularly care if we all end up in the shit - short or long term, providing they achieve their goal.
Neither of them have a particularly clear idea of wtf they're going to inheret and what they'll do if and when the break up of each particular union happens.

I could go on but, be objective for a minute - someone wanting to leave the EU and someone wanting to leave the UK are just as daft as each other.

All right ladies?

Can't we just agree that all the parties are shite at the moment? For me it's very much a case of which one I hate the least.

Both the Independence and Brexit movements are driven largely by a feeling that there is a democratic deficit. Westminster doesn't listen to Scotland and Brussels doesn't listen to the UK. The difference is that in the former case it's demonstrably true, whilst the latter is a distraction by the right wing establishment to deflect blame for the UK's economic and social ills (and in particular the 2008 crash) away from the root cause, neoliberal capitalism.
