Achtung! Red Alert! Red Alert!

They don’t need the money.
In fact, it just occurred to me what they might be up to.

Proceeds from all of the pages are going to be donated to the Neil Peart Memorial in Lakeside Park, St Catharines.

It’s a project that has been on the books for a few years now and it doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of donations - I’m guessing that because they are still fundraising.

I would not be surprised if the thing is fully funded after the tour, if not by the package sales, then by Geddy and Alex themselves making up the shortfall.

MOAR DATES ADDED!

4X Peen!!

That, and I genuinely think they want to get out there and play music again. Alex has his other band and does the odd session gig, but Geddy hasn't really done anything musically speaking in years (apart from the Taylor Hawkins thing). None of them strike me as guys that are doing a cash grab (like the Eagles or various 80's bands).

Really looking forward to seeing what Anika does. I hope she puts a bit of herself into it and doesn't just copy Neil's parts. She's that good.

Well, that was kind of a bust.
The queueing process is actually pretty fair.
I just got a shit spot in one.

I ended up with a pair second row seats on the third night (I think), but at that point I was so pissed at the search interface (trying to get the front row Limelight package instead), I just closed all my browsers and walked away. $2900 CDN per seat and it’s not the full package…

I’m hoping that the artist presale on Monday holds back some of those Limelight packages.

Well, I guess it wasn’t meant to be for me.

I had floor seats with the travel package in my cart - it wasn’t what I wanted, but fuck it - I went ahead and… credit card declined.
Not for lack of funds but for security reasons. Okay, I actually appreciate the protection.
I get on the phone and verify everything and all is good but unfortunately, they are having technical difficulties and cannot unlock my card for 3 or 4 hours.

I could have used my work Amex, but fuck it. I was settling for a package that I didn’t want just get get good seats.

I'm just looking for a pair of cheap seats, but between these two presales which are theoretically to fan subpopulations, I couldn't get jack. The only shows that are viable for me are at MSG, which are going to be harder to get.

The pricing for these shows is pretty crazy. $214 - 995 for regular and platinum seats. The amount tix that are only for packages that range from $1500-2500 is pretty significant. They presume an exorbitant willingness to spend out the butt by their fans.

TL/DR...I can't and won't justify the cost of anything other than the $214 seats, which would be significantly more than I've ever spent on concert tix.
