Really Gibson? Really?

Back in my teen age years I used to play those Avalon Hill wargames, the ones with the little square laminated cardboard pieces and the hexagonal maps.

Anyways, one time me and a couple of friends got together with another young kid none of us knew very well to play one of these games, and this kid's acid from his fingers turned any cardboard piece he touched yellow almost instantly, I kid you not. And we were playing one of my games, and I was cringing because all the pieces were turning yellow :(

Maybe OGG's sweat is like that kid's
Have you ever seen OGG and that kid in the same place at the same time? Spooky....

I feel like you must have had a screw with a bad plating job or some other weird flaw. If you were trying to relic the screw it would never happen that fast. As luck would ha e it, you got the defective screw.
It was 2 screws though. Both upper screws on the neck pup.

And yeah, it was within a very few minutes.

I have a friend that can't wear watches because his body kills them DEAD within a few days. He also can't touch a live microphone without blowing all the inline fuses of the power amps.

I even witnessed him "erase" the ROM storage of a Drum Machine just by touching it.

Yeah, Ive replaced many factory screws with stainless ones. In particular, those tiny screws on some tuning machines.... when im installing those i usually order replacements ahead of time because those little bastards suck and like to strip out the heads if you look at them crooked.

I'm the same with watches actually - at least inexpensive digital ones. they die within a couple weeks for me. I'm good with a fancy-ass waterproof mechanical one it seems.

I also have to really thoroughly wipe down my strings after playing if I want to avoid having the change them waaaaay too frequently.

caustic sweat. I used to play in a band with a guy who had caustic sweat. He would sometimes want to swap guitars while we were jamming and I'd have to make up some excuse. The oil and sweat in his hands was out of control.

Yup. There are certain people I have been in bands with that I don't let within 10' of the strings on my bass.
