question for the Les Paul players

I used to use washers on my bass, but they got in the way when it was case-time.

as for my LP, I just use the little plastic ones...
I don't recall what they are called, but you put the strap on (heh), then pop the lockers one and twist 'em.
never had a problem.
since the strap needs to come off if the guitar is case-bound, they work a lot better than washers.

I don't believe any of the strap systems will hold Bob Hoskins.... :embarrassed:

I have a couple of those. But mostly I just make my own, sorta like a washer or that coin above. I cut a disk outta those fake credit cards one gets in the mail (or an old expired one), and put a hole in the middle. I cut 2 straight line cuts outward from the center hole so you can push it over the top of the peg instead of having to take the peg out, like so:

They eventually wear out, but I check mine and occasionally replace them.

I use Schaller; IMO it doesn't matter really.

Oh, and did I mention HC is a big pile o crap? :grin: Should have been back up like 12 hours ago.

hehe. I'm getting a NAMM ad. And I don't have anything planned right now. There is a vBulletin update/bug fix release that I'll be doing once it comes out of eta but thats not going to happen soon.
