So a week or so after closing the store I have to say that having the weight of the world lifted off of my shoulders has been the best thing ever. I'm actually doing more of what I actually want to do and enjoying the other non-work parts of my life more too. This week I've had four gigs of different types (one was running sound and supplying rental gear for a small festival, two bar gigs and a private party this weekend) and I'm even playing better and enjoying the music more.
I'm still getting estimates on the new studio build and some other renovations that we need to make to the house before I can teach here but that's been exciting, too.

So it's been a few months and there is a new tenant in our old space. A "day spa" and massage parlor. I told Mrs Wein that I bet she did expect when we built all those rooms 13 years ago that their final use would be for facials and happy endings.

Strange to see things like that..My Mom's used clothing store became a bridal shop when Mom moved out..So it's been a few months and there is a new tenant in our old space. The bridal shop lasted a couple of years and now it's home to a local politician...........
That's after her doing major renovations like putting in a bathroom...Mom's got more money than brains......lol
