Buy me Barn Storm or go to hell!!

Sadly, due to the insane amount of work I have missed and have yet to miss this year I will be unable to attend Barn Storm 2015...

OK, so I'm thinking 10/23-25. Does that work for most of the people who were planning on Pragestock? If so, I'll go ahead and start a new thread and we can make some plans.

and the weekend is totally flexible. just trying to pick a time with temps in the 50's-60's so it's comfy in the loft. If it's not, then we can always set up in the house, and there's a room that would work well. Just think that the barn would be fun... If that's too close to Halloween, we could move it up a weekend.

Yeah, for me Halloween is the issue, as I have an annual Halloween party. No need to move it on my account though... I may not be able to do that long of a trip anyway, due to clot issues. :(

yeah, I know some people really get into that. I'll let other people weigh in. I don't want to push it past the first weekend in November, as I'll be out of town either the second or third weekend, and then starts the holiday clusterfuck where nothing else can feasibly happen.

Hell, I'll just do a poll. Stay tuned.

My kit isn't great.

I bought a cymbal stand and moved the ride/crash to a stand so it isn't on the kick drum. I also have an extra stand, so if someone has something better or wants to bring more cymbals feel free.

I might bring my kit. We'll see.

In the band I recently started playing with I've used the guitar player's kit so far. It's nice and we practice at his house, and we've only played out once. And mine has been packed away and not put up or played in years. But we recently talked about keeping his up at home, mic'd for recording and practices, and using mine at gigs. So I've been needing to set it up to make sure everything is still in good working order anyway.

This would be a perfect trial run. I could set it up at home to make sure it's all still there, maybe put on new heads, etc., and then if it lasts through the weekend, I'd say it's good to go!

So I have conditional approval from Mrs. Heel if we can come up with a good weekend. Later in October would probably work best if we wanted to set up in the barn. Maybe the weekend before Halloween? For those that would be interested, is that a good time?

As for accommodations, I have 2 guest rooms with queen beds, and plenty of floor space for air beds and the like. There's also a nice hotel down the road. Two airports are within 30 min or so (DCA and BWI). I have at least 6 functioning amps. I don't have a PA, so if someone else did that'd be helpful.

Anyway, just an idea. If there's interest, I'll make it work and it'll be fun. If not, maybe we can do a weekend for the local DMV folks.
So, where are you, now?
