Power Pins on my Acoustasonic

The problem:
Some people report that breaking a string on an Accoustisonic can allow the ball end piece of string to fall into the body thus shorting out and frying the electronic circuits.
Solution:
Power Pins. No discernible difference in tone. Kind of a pain to install, but worth it if they save my electronics.

Just finished a test run. Sound the same to me. Some people report improved sustain. Sure makes string change a lot easier. Do you have access to under side of your bridge on your Taylor?

Yep. Removable back panel allows full bridge and electronics access.

There are some good videos on YouTube. Really not too difficult. I installed locking tuners at the same time. Took me a couple of hours.

I have a set of power pins on my 12 string for just 6 strings.

I messed up when I ordered new bridge pins and got some that had heads that were too big for this guitar.
I had a set of power pins already. Using them gave me the room I needed.

I like them.
