The tone (and everything else) is in the rack. I heard edge's soul is actually store in a looper in that rack.

Hilarious it is. :)

Fun moment during the Rush In Rio dvd when the crew walks on stage and collects the laundry from the washing machines.
I saw the Slings and Arrows tour when he had chicken rotisseries behind him. There were chefs coming out during the show tending to the chickens and when I went up to get beer I saw one of those guys carrying a big, covered silver chicken serving tray.

Foo, yes they do, and I can legally perform the ceremony too.
how's that for ya?

I just noticed they actually mic his chicken machines

*Foo gets all starry eyed. Geddyyyyyyyyyy. sigh* Do they have gay marriage in Canada? I wonder if he would marry me. What? A bass player can dream can't she?

Yes, however he is married with children. My niece used to babysit his kids.
Nice, solid, normal family unit. Very low key and grounded folks.

Rush/Geddy is famous for that kind of stuff.

I saw them on the (I think it was) Presto tour and they had a puppet show going......

I thought this one was kind of nuts. But in comparison to these, not so much.

It is Dean DeLeo's rig from the most recent Stone Temple Pilots tour.

Demeter Preamps into VHT Power amps run in stereo, plus an AC30 for added measure. And a healthy dose of effects that I couldn't get a shot of.

How about Neil Young?

There's one little fender amp in there that's about a thousand years old that has a contraption attached to it that turns the dials on the amp when he presses a switch. Might be the one on the left. He basically pushes all those little amps until they nearly catch fire &/or explode.

Joe Perry's rig from the Project tour...a CLUB tour...which he also used on the last aerosmith tour...

...he also uses a similar rig with Vox cabs...

I can't find a pic of it, but his MusicMan amp stack from the '70s was legendary...the cabs were in a framework that allowed them to be set at different angles...according to Nitebob it was the loudest setup ever, and the other guys in the band would avoid that area of the stage...

From an interview with Anders Osborne:

"I like mixing big and small amps. I used a 100-watt Marshall JCM800, a 64 Fender Concert, a 50-watt Marshall plexi, a Vox AC30, a 50s Silvertone 1x10 combo, and a vintage Gibson 1x8 combo. A custom splitter box sent the signal out to four amps, and I daisychained the others. Certain combinations such as the Concert and the JCM800 sound awesome chained together. I plug into one input on the Concert and then run a cable from its other input to the input of the JCM800. I lined everything up in a big room and shuffled the order until I found my sounds. Then I moved around the room to find the sweet spots."
