this is about the ONLY time I like that kind of burst. Is that the Classic Vibe?
I picked one of those up for $200 last year and I have to say that the thing is absolutely amazing.
I bought a tbx circuit I will run for the neck only and switch the tone to bridge only. Tbx will go on the lower horn. The p90 on the neck had to be adjusted as it was I lowered it and it was better, I may buy a Heussel bridge pup.I just got one exactly like this one. Stock catalog photo:
The P-90 seems to overpower the bridge pickup. I haven't done a full set up on it yet. Ken (Rose Pickups) is making me a set of pickups to drop in it with a 4 way switch, new pots and cap. Also, adding a bigsby type trem and running the strings through the top load string holes after I widen them. I may replace the nut with a TUSQ, but we'll see how it goes with some filing on the stock nut. I will probably reverse the control plate too.

I like the nut though after I sanded it down.
This thing came with the most horrible set-up I've ever seen. I'm so glad I know how to work on guitars. I had to push the P90 down with my fingers and then adjust the screw to bring it down. It was so stiff that the screw was almost stripping.I wasn't sure how much adjustment the neck pickup had to be lowered. I figured that was part of the problem.
That is a beautiful guitar! Is that the Classic Vibe?

I Think that it is great that people have picked up on how nice those classic vibes are... They really are amazing
Yes you do.I like that Ibanez & Yamaha ^^
Right now, the guitar I grab the most is my new Reverend Sensei HB
Excellent playability, and since I mainly play unplugged while watching TV, the korina is very resonant.
I still need to post a pic of my latest, which is very cool too. The new one (a semi-hollow) gets great strat tones. My camera battery needs recharging atm though...
