Populuxe/Googie architecture: whatcha got?

They’re really good. They have their own recipe for their sausages and everything is tasty. They dress their dogs in a version of the Chicago Dog style but with a wedge of pickled green tomato.

I've never had pickled green tomato, I never even knew it was a thing. Now I'm really curious to try it!

Chicago Dog question- I had a job in a south suburb last year and I had lunch at a Portillos. I ordered a Chicago Dog, never had one before and was curious. What I hated the most was all the water/juice from the pickle made the bun soggy and fall apart, by the end, there was no bun between my hand and the hotdog, condiments, etc.. Was this just a bad execution of a Chicago Dog or are they all like that?

I think there is a special standing technique you are supposed to do where you lean forward a bit with legs about shoulder width apart and then eat. I might be confused as it might me the technique for an Italian beef or even a chill dog but there certainly is technique.

Does Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh count?

I think that apartment building on the river in Chicago (featured on Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot) qualifies.

they tend to be a wet dog because of all the pickled condiments - the trick is to eat them as fast as possible (same with a beef like DdBob says)
