Evoluon in Eindhoven
Off the top of my head, nothing I can think of but, this did make me think of the Oak lawn Hilton. Only because it's round, not square/rectangular.

We live about an hour and a half south of Chicago. My wife and I drove past this a couple of times on the way to shop somewhere, it's on Cicero Ave- route 50. Curiosity got the best of us, we had to see the inside. Not like we needed a place to stay the night, so far away from home. Had room service and fucked like bunnies.
The morning after did you visit the nearby Haunted Trails “amusement” park for some romantic putt putt?

I'm sure we got some here but can't specifically think of any. Google search gives me this one though, not sure if it's the same.
First thing to come to mind probably doesn’t quite qualify as artsy architecture, but it has been around for decades.
The Flying Saucer Restaurant in Niagara Falls.

I'd say it certainly qualifies. From what I understand, a lot of the typical googie places are diners, motels, gas stations, and so on. Commercial sites rather than 'here's an artsy place' buildings.
Like this McDonalds:
I haven't driven past that area in quite sometime so i googled it up and it says that Pima Community college purchased the property in 2018 which makes sense because they have their downtown campus right next to it and have for decades. That Tucson Inn has the classic look. Really cool. I hope it stays like that forever.

Here's one I forgot about below. I took the pic while walking Sonny this morning.

Here is a better pic from a different angle (not my pic)
The pic above is from this
https://tucson.com/news/retrotucson...n_fc283f71-9aad-5212-bc58-fff8bd5a3248.html#1
and while most of the stuff is more MCM there are a few examples of googie which btw this video from this link https://news.azpm.org/s/15374-broadway-rich-in-history-from-euclid-to-country-club/
the guy specifically references the term "googie/space age" In fact you should watch the video because this is literally my neighborhood. the Hirsh's shoes is literally a two minute walk for me., maybe less. I could jog to it in about 30 seconds.
This pic
was right after it opened and if you look at the leftside you will see a palm tree and then a bit behind it is a really tall tree...well that's basically where I live. But as you can see that is definityely MCM and not googie/space age
oh shit...anotherone in the same stretch
YeashI have rented here since 2005 so I 've walked by all the stuff at least a few times a week with the dogs over the years. My work is i n the general area too, perhaps a couple miles from here and i've been there since 1993 in fact this whole area is somewhat unchanged from when we moved to Tucson in 1978. They are currently widening the whole stretch of road but 90 percent of the buildings survived and my neighb orhood recently received historic distric designation. I do most of my grocery shopping at the batural foods store in the shopping center next to the Hirsh's shoes this place below. the palm tree you see is still there and the grocery is in the two story right behind the tree. This pic was from the 1940'sYou're surrounded by the stuff! That style looks really great in the desert climate. It all comes together to make me think it's the kinda place where you'd spot a UFO.
There was a recent, just days ago UFO sighting here but the news is passing it off as Starlink satallites :rolleyes:You're surrounded by the stuff! That style looks really great in the desert climate. It all comes together to make me think it's the kinda place where you'd spot a UFO.
Less interesting architecturally and the wow factor might be a trick of the neon, but if Motorik ever comes visit Chicago, I’d happily take him out to Superdawg for some primo far NW Side kitsch.
