pics of my new "guitar room"

Temperature mostly. Conduction and all that.

Makes sense I guess. I never really thought much about it.

Seems to me tho that in a basement room, the outside of the wall (dirt) is gonna be pretty much the same temperature all year.

Cool room :thu:

I'm sllloooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwlllyyy getting my basement straightened out; hope to have something useful by the winter.

Nice. However i can see a keyboard in there so the title 'Guitar Room' is misleading.

For this im afraid you will have give me a guitar.

Nice. :thu:
huge_jnr (24) still lives in my 'music room'. Daft bugger thinks it's his bedroom. *taps_foot_like_blocker_lemming*

It's a basement, and I'm assuming the walls are probably insulated anyway. I wouldn't think that hanging on a well insulated exterior wall would do any harm.

I'm with Prages on this one. Especially with a few inches of air circulating behind the guitars like you have with a standard guitar hanger. I don't imagine the temperature there fluctuates by more than a degree or 2 compared to the rest of the room.

This really makes me wish we could have basements in the area I live. The sandy soil here, combined with being only 16 feet above sea level, makes it pretty much impossible. We have a small home with 3 bedrooms---all used---so I would have to build on.

John, I love it. Virginia Woolf said it best.....A Room of One's Own. I am envious, friend!
