Looks nice. It seems inviting and roomy.

I have guitars hanging in my room, but would love to have an actual Guitar room/studio space. This is the down side of living in a small home.

That looks like a basement room to me. (Heat vents in ceiling, the type of windows)

Congratulations on your rock dungeon!

thanks... it is actually a 4th bedroom in the basement.

prages - i got the combo a few months ago... i love it... you want me to bring it to Pragestock?

I feel bad for your poor Tele, stuck in the corner and unloved. :(

Room looks awesome though... I'd love to have a slightly bigger one. You better get some floor/wall treatments before you do any recording though cause those reflections look like murder!

I happen to know a thing or 2 about building nice acoustic treatment panels for a basement music room. Cheap and effective. Feel free to PM if you'd like any details.

Come to think of it, maybe I should write a blog about these. They were a pretty cool project that anybody could do.

Nice. I made some too. I have a feeling we used a similar technique.

That would be cool. :thu:

My friend and I have been talking about doing it for awhile, but we haven't been able to find the Owens Corning 703 locally.

I always wanted a basement. I want to make a jam space that looks like you're on the front porch when you walk in. Complete with a screen-door and a fake "outside" mural on the windows and door. . .

I ended up using a product called Roxul Rockboard 80 - 3" thickness. It was the heaviest, densest material that I could find, and it killed the Owens Corning stuff, especially on the low frequencies. Plus it was cheaper, and there was a distributor here locally, so I didn't have to pay shipping. It's a much heavier material 8lb/cu. ft. while the Owens Corning is 3 lb/cu. ft.

^Locations for SPI (Specialty Products and Insulation). They're a nationwide chain and carry the Roxul stuff.
