Pic of Kenny G w. Miles Davis from when he opened for him once in the late 80s...

Miles autobiography is outstanding, motherfucker.

I concur, motherfucker.

The most memorable passage from it that I can remember is the story of him and Byrd in the taxi and one of them getting some "knowledge" from a young lady while eating fried chicken. I don't know why that has stuck with me...motherfucker.

Miles wasn't racist, he was fed up. He gets big ups from me for boning Juliette Greco in her prime, but loses points for being a wife beater.

Ya, I never thought of Miles as a racist. It would be hard not to be bitter after everything he went through.

I saw Kenny G before he was Kenny G in a band called The Jeff Lorber Fusion at Taste of Chicago back in the day. I don't remember him sucking back then. I was there. I don't like his music but I don't see that big of a difference between his instrumental pop and Miles playing "Human Nature" and "Time After Time."

Jeff Lorber Fusion was actually pretty good, or at least I remember it to be. Back when I was into fusion. did not remember Kenny G (Gorlick) ever being a part of it. Though I think he is from Portland, as was Jeff Lorber Fusion.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Apparently he did. I gave that guy a ski lesson once. Very dedicated student. Would do everything EXACTLY as I told him. I had to be careful to explain things in very literal, concrete ways. He was a good student.

Re: miles, of course he would not want to be around that guy in that way. I love the music of Miles, do not love some of his conduct. Oh well.
