When we lost Smokey last year, I swore I wouldn't get another animal, Carol agreed. Until she didn't.

So we went to the shelter in November and adopted Mitten who is almost five years old. She is a very vocal cat who wakes me two or three times a night for food. But I love her just the same.

Today it's been 3 years since this little dude moved in with us!

It's pretty amazing to look back at pictures from when we just got her and think of all the training and getting her over traumas we did. She's so happy, calm, confident and loving nowadays, and without losing her playfulness and crazy character

Miss Mitten likes to sit with Carol and me in the living room. It doesn't look comfortable and isn't flattering, but she seems to love it.
