One of my dogs started falling over one morning. I took him to the vet, they said he was critical, gave him IV antibiotics, and stuck him in an oxygen box for eight hours. It turned out to be pneumonia.

I was searching Petfinder for a new beagle and having no luck locally. But there a bunch in northern Wyoming and East Nebraska. I have a long drive in my future.

Video vet did a triage and said she looks OK and it might just be a one off but I'm taking her to our own vet tomorrow so they can take some bloods.

She's demolished a massive rump steak and apart from being a bit mopey and lethargic, she seems OK. Her walking looks fine. Will see what these tests come back with.

Lola's bloods have all come back normal so hopefully just a one off and not a seizure. We've to keep an eye, if it happens again it might be epilepsy and she'd need MRIs and stuff to confirm which would be a nightmare for her.

Bailey opted for breakfast in bed this morning. If she makes it to the end of December, she’ll be 15 years old. Not bad for a dog who has had a heart murmur and thyroid disease for more than 4 years.

Trying beef short ribs on the kamado for the first time. Now I suck at maths but 3 packs of ribs with 2 in each does not = the 5 ribs I counted going on the grill!!!

Turns out Lola has upped her food pinching game and managed to snag one leaving no trace or noise! I did think it was weird when she didn't come out to watch me set everything up...

The dry rub has onion powder, chilli flakes,chilli powder and cayenne so this walk should be fun

We finally found a vet that would perform Sammie's neuter procedure about 3 weeks ago. His bully behavior is finally diminishing.

A good friend of mine, Landlady of a local pub who was happy to let Lola come in and settle / find herself when we first got her is having her own dog put down tomorrow due to old age and medical stuff catching up.

I'm heartbroken for her.
