Pedals over $100 that are actually worth it.

I have my expensive pedals. You know what they are. You have your expensive pedals too. But which ones are actually worth the money you spent on them today? I 100% agree that buying spendy pedals can get you exactly what you want, can support a small builder, and can actually sound better than their mass produced counterparts. However, there are plenty of pedals that just aren't worth it. So let's focus on the ones that are.

Go.

Tumnus.

Anything by Strymon.

MXR Reverb.

The list goes on, really. I'd say that it's the $150 price point that (for me) starts to separate the good from the OK.

I had to do a double take. I have 12 pedals on my boards for the barn and only 3 cost me over $100, Boss RV-6, Way Huge Blue Hippo and Fender Mirror Delay. (most of the stuff on my board is sub $50) The Boss Reverb is worth the $150 and so far the Fender Delay is too. I'm not sure ther Blue Hippo is. It is a good chorus, but there are plenty of sub $100 pedals that are just as good.

As @Guitar Heel said, I think the Strymons are worth their price.

I'll add the Catalinbread Echorec and EQD Afterneath to the list as well. I don't think you can find a better build quality, customer support and equally sounding pedal for less.

I don’t think you can get any decent prdals here inder that price, unless you go micropedal

second the carbon copy.

I've never been able to gel with the carbon copy. I bought one years ago and sold it. Then I tool one in a trade partially to try one again and because they are easy to sell. Neither time I liked it. Maybe someone will have one at the barn and I'll give it another go.

The only thing I don't like about the Carbon Copy is you can't adjust the modulation. It's a good sounding delay though.
