Dig it! Parts Caster: FINISHED!!!

And...

Birthday is here and I've put the pickguard together. Will wire tomorrow. Has anyone ever drilled a hole in an Aluminium pickguard? I need a mini toggle to realize my switching concept.

I sort of regret not getting black, because one creme doesn't match with the other. That may drive me crazy over time.

lol, I know what you mean. I had cream pickups on my sunburst Strat and couldn’t get the knobs and trem tip to match, so I swapped it to black.

So far, so good.

Afraid to work on the bridge now, and stripped the string tree screws. Oops. I hope for the best as far as adjustment, but I usually have my trems flush down on the body anyways.

Living and breathing, but limping a bit because my new nut files work too well, so I cut two strings too low (that's what I get for having cheap files before). I also had some buzz I had to get rid of by shielding the entire cavity with slug tape. So here she is. Name TBD...

The nut slot for the high E on my SG is too low. Ordered a new nut last night and am going to try to replace it next week.

Wrote the guys at Flaxwood. They are sending me 2 replacement nuts free of charge.

Nice guys, great service.

This neck is absolutely the best darned fretwork I've ever seen. The only neck I ever had where I didn't have to file down a fret was my Kramer (surprisingly, but it's also unreal), but this has even better action without even having to touch the truss rod. Only bridge height adjustment was needed.

That's a really good looking guitar. If you verbally described it to me I'd think "eew no" but seeing it? Man that's hot.

Yeah, I spent a lot of time mocking these up on the Halo guitars site and thinking "yeah, that should be good, I like it, yeah..."

But actually having it in the room is another thing entirely. I can't quit looking at it. Maybe it took over Racquel Welch's Essence upon her death.

I guess I have a name for her now.
