Dig it! Now HNOGD!! Fender Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Classic Jazzmaster - Daphne Blue

So I had no idea Lollar was in Tacoma, where I am from and I have an odd, potentially co-dependent or something attraction still to that beat up place, so maybe I will need some. (just kidding, kinda) Which model do you have?
I got the '58 Jazzmaster set. I also have Lollars in my Telecaster and have had them in a number of guitars over the years and they've all been excellent. I may get a set for my Strat next if the stock V-Mod pickups don't do it for me once I get the chance to crank them up.

Ok, will that was super cool! Love it! Tacoma, curiosity and learning, old brick industrial work space, 70'S CROCK POTS!, offsets. Thanks for sharing that!
Yeah, she doesn't post a ton but she has cool content. Also scope out Mike "Puisheen" Adams on YouTube. And, yes, he's one of the Mikes named in "Mike and Mike's Guitar Bar" but he left there a long time ago, went back as just an employee when he moved back to Seattle, but then the other Mike earned some solid "Get Fucked!"'s from one of the nicest people out there by letting Puisheen go randomly.

Ok, I am going to need to hear that story. Please PM if you prefer to direct me.

Also, considering on this guitar whether I will do the loctite, hammer and vice method of fixing the bridge and trem, (to get rid of rattles and noise, along with setting it up with thick enough strings and etc.,) or replace it with a mastery or something like that. Since you are now Owns Many Offsets guy, interested in your thoughts.

When I was building out my JM, I was talking to the guy who runs one of my local shops and is a huge JM-head. After talking about what I was looking for and my build spec, he suggested the SD Antiquity IIs & he was on the money. Everyone who has played that guitar has remarked how damn good it sounds.

I like those Lollars @smurfco has, and seem to kinda dig the earlier JM sound, the one before the more surf oriented sound. Any idea where the Antiquities reside on that spectrum?

Antiquity I is more early Jazzmaster.

Antiquity II is more surfy Jazzmaster.

However, I feel like the Antiquity IIs are still more even sounding than the AV/PV65 pickups, which appear to be the one miss in the AV/PV pickup lineup. The Jaguar and Strat '65s knock it out of the park.

As for the Mastery bridge I think it is a must! huge huge upgrade over the stock JM/Jag bridge and even the Mustang bridge too...

Honestly once I got the mastery bridge on mine, the stock trem was perfectly fine. I've had the mastery trem too and it is indeed quite nice but I don't think it's essential like the bridge is.

I think it is an re-issue asian market part, rather than the AVRI, that comes on this one, which can be fixed with a hammer to tweak the handle so it doesn't rattle, according to that Puisheen guy who does all the tech and review videos for offsets. You probably know all this already, but,... yeah... The Bridge needs a bunch of loctite to work if you are not going to replace it, he says. Bridge talk around 11 in, vibrato talk about 12 in.
