NGD....it's been over 4 years....

I've been needing to upgrade my acoustic - and we are out of debt now with a nice emergency fund. So...it's time. What I really want is just way out of my reasonable budget (Lowden or Collings). Maybe in a few years...but...

This popped up on Reverb. I really like Eastmans - and this is the top of the line Eastman in the Grand Auditorium models. AC822CE. At a great price.

That is indeed a beauty. I know that Eastman has a great reputation in the mandolin community, so I am sure that the guitars are just as nice. Enjoy.

That is nice; since there are seven of those on Reverb you could (almost) name your price. :houra:
Good luck .......

Well....the guitar arrived today.

Unfortunately - it is also a lovely COLD spring day (25 degrees). And the guitar has a nitrocellulose finish.

Meaning all I can do is sit and stare at the case until it has slowly gotten up to near room temperature inside the case. Which will likely be tomorrow morning. Dang it - if this had arrived two days ago it would have been 60 degrees out and I could have opened the case right away. Curse you cold weather!!

Well - waited 4 hours. The case was at room temp. I cracked the case open and quickly felt the guitar temp - it was room temperature so out it came. It really looks brand new. Sounds great. I'm going to need to get used to the extra low end that rosewood gives to the tone, but this is one sweet guitar.
