New year. New build.

Started the dry fit on all the parts and there are some things to address:

Allparts wiring kit is missing some parts and has an extra pot. So I’m going to need to pick those up
The mini pots mount too close to the slots so I’m going to need an extra nut each or stack a few washers to give them some offset
The bridge posts are too small for the ferrules and will need to be enlarged

Got the first ding out of the way when I picked the bridge up by the arm and didn’t realize it wasn’t pushed in. DOH...I’m gonna have to tint that so it’s not so noticeable.

Wired and ready for mounting. Not my cleanest job but it'll do and theres enough wiggle room on the wiring to get everything tucked in right

As much as I wanted thay engraved Jeff beck neck plate, I picked up some sweet aluminum parts from Forney Custom off reverb. Nice stuff

October/November should be buckets of rain....this year, not so much. Progress has been slow but not much left to do after this past weekend.

This past Sunday I knocked out a few tasks:
Began fitting the nut
Drilled out the bridge thimble holes (plugged the existing holes that were too small with dowels, which themselves didn’t entirely fit but would spupply enough support to keep the drill bit in place)
Located and installed the trem
Positioned the pickguard and drilled out all of the mounting screw holes

To do:
Run a ground wire to the bridge
Mount the pickguard & pickups
Mount a string guide for the 1st & 2nd strings, if needed

They action is pretty low but with the chunky bass profile of the asym neck, its a really comfortable fit and plays effortlessly. Really lively/resonant body with loads of unplugged ring to it. The placement of the upper bout strap pin could be questionable; haven’t hung it from a strap yet.
Have to double check the wiring but otherwise it’s a flat out killer guitar

Well, that was an easy one...
I mixed up two wires on the 3-way switch. Buttoned it back up and set the intonation and string height.

GOOD GOT DAMN this guitar is flat out awesome. Exactly what I envisioned when I started planning out this build.

The pine body and roasted maple neck are incredibly resonant. This guitar really rings out loud and clear acoustically. Plugged in it's got loads of sustain and the tone is bitching...plenty of note separation.
Neck some girth on the bass side but the asym profile makes it very comfortable in the hand and all the treble side strings are in easy reach. USAG did a great job on the frets and they are smooth and SSilky
Mastery parts are a thing of pure beauty and function so perfectly.

One obvious downside of the pine body is that it’s super soft. You look at this thing the wrong way and you’ll put a ding in it.

Glad you like the Mastery stuff. The vibrato is so smooth and there is no way the strings will ever get snagged by the saddles.

I debated picking up avri hardware at one point and I’m glad I stuck to the original plan with the mastery stuff; it’s in its own league. Your previous feedback was valuable.
