Kinda deeply turns off by the new higher price points. $1200 for a Korean guitar? Good luck with that.

I've found that Korean guitars in that range tend to have much better hardware and electronics. If your a swapper it may not be worth it, but for some like me who is low on tech know how & patience, I'd be willing to spring for the extra quality. And if it were made in the USA, Canada, or Europe, the price would be much higher anyways.

I would love to know which Korean guitar companies offer top notch hardware & pups for less than a grand.:):confused:

I'm probably just old. Wow, am I really that old? I have MIK stuff from 10-15 years ago at cost around $400 that is great. Fenders, PRS, Epis, an Agile.

Did the prices really go up that much?

On to China ....

Yes, prices in the guitar market have doubled from 10 years ago. Buy used if you don't like the price.
