New pedals on the way to try

Pine Apple Slim

Armchair Expert
I have a pedal problem, but hey, pedals dont cost that much in the grand scheme of things. I can afford it but the resulting clutter is the biggest downside, lol.
But Im curious to try anything/everything and I have the time and money so why not?
Ill prob have another big housecleaning before long and you guys can get some deals :)

Recent purchases over the last few months:
Ph 95.purchased new. I like a phaser but rarely want to make room for one. This one's small and sounds good.
Auqa Puss mkIII, smalls ed. Used. Its ok. Kinda bright for an analog delay. Not gonna replace the Dm2w. Will prob resell it.
UA 1176 comp-purchased new. this ones on my big home board, its a bit power hungry for my little take out rigs. Really like it tho.
Nocturne Atomic Brain-Used. replaced the early version Dynobrain I had. Not liking this one as much. Too bright, just too much of that thing it does to the point of overbearing. IDK maybe my ears have changed but it just isn't appealing to me like the old one did.
MXR Crayon-Used. Its decent. A bit too hairy for me tho. Best for higher gain overdrive IMO. Similar to Xotic BB preamp, but less refined.
Soul Food-Gave my old one away years ago after picking up a Tumnus, which is also long gone. Got this one for practically postage.
Nobels ODR mini2-New. My favorite OD circuit. Love the bass cut knob on this version, greatly increases the utility of the pedal for just about any application.

On the way:
Mythos Golden Fleece-New. Curious how it compares to my favorite Dunlop mini FFs.
TC mini Spark-I know how good this is, just never had one myself, it was offered used and very cheap so I grabbed it.
mini Tube Screamer-Used. bit the bullet and got a real TS, been all around the block with derivative circuits but never had the real thing.
Ibanez mini analog delay-used. just gotta compare it to the DM2w outta curiosity.
Nobels Del Mini delay-New. All the necc features are packed into this one, had to give it a go.

I know in the past Ive complained about mini pedals and how I dont care for them. But lately Ive been playing out a lot more both at a weekly jam and as a hired gun, so Ive been experimenting with putting together a slightly different small board w just the essentials depending on the guitar I use. A lot of time a mini is just the right choice either tone wise or to allow for that one extra pedal on a small rig. The Mosky Silver Horsie, JHS Whitey Tighty comp, Ph95, Dunlop mini FF, and the Nobels Mini2 have been getting a lot of use lately on these small and compact rigs so Im kinda eating my words on my hate for mini pedals.

The Golden Fleece came today. My initial impressions are it's a nice high gain overdrive pedal but despite Mytho's claim it does not clean up with the Strat vol knob like anything close to a Fuzz Face. It cleans up like a decent overdrive pedal, not like a fuzz. The cleans don't have the classic glassy shimmer with an edge. When you back off the vol on the Strat It just sounds like you turned the gain down on your overdrive pedal.
It's a good sound, just not 100% what Im looking for. The high gain is more polite and less wooly than my FF which is good, but it lacks the classic Strat/ FF clean up tone which is my fav thing about a fuzz. So for now dont think it's gonna replace the teal Hendrix mini, with the Strat anyway. I might like it better with a different guitar.
At least thats my first impression just playing it here at the house. I'll give it a chance live, and also try it with the Tele and SG to see if it can otherwise prove itself useful.

Got the two mini delays in.
The Ibanez sounded so similar to my DM2w that I went ahead and switched it out on my little travel board to save some space. Was like I almost didnt even have to turn any knobs, lol. My typical setting is just a real short always on fattening thing anyway.

I havnt really had time to mess with the Nobels one yet and try out its options of analog, tape, dig, tap tempo, buffered or not, etc.

Also got the mini Spark and TS. They are gonna pair great on each side of the little ODRmini2, but right now Im just using the Protien and the FF. I like how the blue side works with the FF and Strat. FF & Strat seems to be my preferred rig lately since I got the old Mexican Blackie.

Got the Spark, TS mini, and Ibanez mini delay second hand at good deals, but idk about some people. I dont care if you dont have the original box but good grief find something smaller than a shoebox to ship your mini pedal, and there's no need to make me sign for the sht!
You just make extra work for the mailman and cost me a trip to the post office.

My trusty SG was feeling neglected lately so I reconfigured the little One Spot board to use it w the SG Standard next outing.
Using mini pedals let me make room for a mod pedal. I coulda used one of the new mini delays but the trusty DM2w sounds so damn good and since there's room, it stays on. Dont really need comp w SGs buckers. Golden Fleece acts as base OD controlled by SGs V,V,T,T. I was disappointed the Fleece didn't give me the classic glassy cleanup sound w/ a Strat, but it's still very responsive to the guitar vol and is very useful in this context. Mini TS tightens things up and adds mid kick and smooth sustain. Pretty sure Im gonna be able to leave the Fleece and TS on all the time and control volume and gain structure just from the guitar. Its always my goal playing live to keep pedalboard dancing to an absolute minimum.
