New drum set incoming! UPDATE: Happy new drum set day for me!

UPDATE: They’ve been here for about a week. I just finished setting them up. I have them set up in the middle of the room for now. I still need to clear a spot for them to sit. I think the coolest thing is the gas filled snare drum stand. When you adjust the height, the drum is essentially weightless.

Wanted an acoustic drum set since grade school. Parents wouldn’t have it. Said they didn’t want the noise. Silly really, because they bought me an electric guitar and amp within a year. Anyway, since I only plan buy one set in my lifetime, I decided to buy a once in a lifetime set.

I have used quite a bit of purpleheart wood in my studio area. I had them configure a set with proper hardware and cymbals.
