New DBT Album in Stores Tomorrow

I'm not expecting anything revolutionary, but I bet there are a couple of tracks on there that will cause me to drive faster than the posted limit. It's their first release on Dave Matthews' ATO label (that sounds like a frat, btw). Despite the new label, PopMatters says the record is kind of business as usual. For the DBT, that's generally pretty good. :)

Mine should be at my doorstep either today or tomorrow.

With a nifty Big To-Do T-shirt.

First listen was good. I really liked the "drag the lake" song and the song about the sexually depraved preacher who got murdered. Lots of good guitar tones, and some of the arrangements and mixes are pretty interesting musically; I wouldn't normally say that about a DBT album. Also, I thought the liner notes were really an interesting and fun read. This record is worth the $12. :)

Their records are the equivalent of a good book of short stories.

Question: In Drag the Lake, aren't Wanda and Lester his mom and the trucker she married in 18 Wheel of Love?

I'm really digging "This Fuckin Job". It's like Lynnyrd Skynnyrd and Green Day had a baby.

Shonna's songs are pretty good.

I do miss Jason Isbell's contributions.
