I'm considering building a dedicated rockabilly rig, and I'm really curious about that Space Echo, especially how the saturation knob works.
I love it. I have four Space Echo pedals (RE-20, RE-2, RE-202 pictured, and a Universal Audio Galaxy 74).

While the sound quality is very close across all of them, I would say the Galaxy 74 sounds the best. But the RE-202 stays on the board because it has four memory slots (something none of my other Space Echos have). So I have one programmed for slapback, one for a very clean almost digital sound, one for classic Space Echo long delay, etc. and I can easily step through them live.

The saturation knob is kind of like a gain knob where it simulates tape getting saturated. It isn't really like distortion, more like I guess some crunchiness / fatness / lo-fi sound added. It's similar to the "input volume" knob on the RE-20.
