I have an amazing idea. How about a regular V with fretboard binding and a premium model made of Korina? They haven't had either in a while, and the web seems to want them. Maybe I should volunteer to help Gibson decide what they should fucking sell.

Gibson stopped making regular Vs because nobody bought them. This was only a few years ago.

That said, it's disappointing that Gibson did not choose to create an original design (regardless of whether this particular body shape is protected by trademark).

I don't hate the design. I'd never pay $4,500 for it.

It's not even that the design is bad. It's that it's a copy of other designs from a company that sues luthiers for things that aren't even actually copies.
