Mojo Request Mojo Needed. I'm in Nebraska

It's the "I drove on the interstate and didn't see anything" gang. *spits*

Flatland apologist.

I've traveled the back roads of the midwest, and you see the same things there that you do from the interstate, only closer. That really isn't a good thing.

Did you stop and see Carhenge?

Did you make it to Denver yet? I'd hate to think you are still in Nebraska.
That's like a prison sentence.

Omaha, somewhere in Middle America ...

I actually like downtown Omaha. The rest of the city is kind of boring.

Yeah, Omaha is a pretty cool city - my newish job has taken me there a couple of times. Being a riverfront city, it is the antithesis of the rest of the state; once you get about ten miles West...yikes. Still, I would endure the boredom if'n I was gonna end up in the spots that @Rick 381 is.

Thing is, my biss has hinted that he wants to base someone out of the Omaha area next year, which would be an opportunity to get a really nice jump in pay. I may take hime up on it if it happens.

I have been through Omaha. I got pulled over for following to close to the car in front of me.
I explained to the cop that I am a New Yorker,if you leave a 2 foot gap a bus will get in there.
He was cool,no ticket.

I know what you're saying!

In the Air Force I went on a TDY to Baltimore. Our hotel was at I-695 & Loch Raven . To get to work we had to get on I-695 heading east, then a mile and four lanes later get off on an exit from the left-hand lane. We had those big 4-door, long bed pickup trucks that aren't fun to drive in heavy traffic. After a couple of days, I was the only one allowed to drive while heading into work, as I was the only one that could get all the way over four lanes of morning Rush-hour traffic to get to our exit :embarrassed: If someone gave you 2 feet, you had to take it...

Not in Denver right now. I'm in a place called Colorado Springs. Anyone ever heard of it?

Two reasons for being here, first my wife wants to go to Garden Of The Gods again. She's also said she might want to go back to the top of Pike's Peak. I also found a place that sounds interesting, she likes waterfalls so I'm thinking about a place called Seven Falls. The second reason, burned out a manifold collector gasket somewhere on 76. It was pouring rain and all of a sudden the truck got loud. One of three Land Rover dealers in the Denver area is in Colorado Springs.

Fanciest JLR dealership I've ever been in. Must be some money in this town. They had more cars on the lot than all the other dealerships I've been to combined.

Should have let me know....that where I live. Seven Falls in nice. The top of Pikes Peak is flat out amazing. Just go early.

Nebraska is beautiful on the back roads. I love seeing endless crops.
It might be,but on I -80 it is horrible.
Iowa was nicer. It looked like the same farm the whole way.
I was expecting a Hobbit to be in the side of the road with tea and cake.

I was in Colorado Springs last week on vacation. Loved it! Enjoy!

p.s. Look for the inaccurately named Denverdave while you are there.

Now I'm in a place called Grand Junction. Tomorrow Moab, then a charge to Vegas. Made it through the Eisenhower Tunnel with out any altitude problems. Last time I was at 11,000 it really hit me.

Low landers.....

I love the drive from GJ to Moab. Hot - but it has it's own sparse beauty. Enjoy the rest of the trip.
