... while this sucks, he's far better equipped to deal with this situation now than he was a year ago. Especially the recovery, any physical therapy he may need, and the other adjustments he'll have to make for the foreseeable future.

At some point today they'll be sending me home. They've got quite a few meds for me, as well as lot of aftercare instructions then a follow up in six weeks. The primary clot has seen significant reduction and I have improved lung function, but there is definitely some long term damage and they're alessi worried about some potential heart damage, will be addressed at my six week follow up, but for now there's nothing else they can do for me. Thanks for all the texts, phone calls, and messages; apologies if I haven't gotten back to you all individually yet, but I will soon!

Yikes! Glad to hear you're improving!

So, what happened? Did you have any nagging medical issues that might have clued you into this or did this just pop up out of the blue?
