I actually owned and liked the first Madonna album. It still reminds me of a very special surf trip in Mexico in 1984.I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. Like something it don’t. But don’t be ashamed of it either.
I love Madonna.

A classic 80's pleasure, Better Off Dead.
That is a familiar list.I was into a lot of music back then, but especially stuff like Depeche Mode, OMD, Thomas Dolby, and Howard Jones. I was really into Laurie Anderson as well; I somewhat emulated her style and saw her perform live three times. Another favorite was Jane Siberry. Like others, I have no guilt over any of it.

There're a couple of Flock of Seagulls tunes on my playlist.

Saying you don't believe in guilty pleasures and then naming someone who's been canon for 20+ years. cop0
No shame there at all. She's freakishly talented.I have inordinate amounts of love for cyndi lauper, but I'm not guilty about that at all.
I unabashedly love Madonna.
Funny...my first thought was posting this...although I'm not sure how guilty anyone should be about it. It was a pop masterpiece, as well as Bowie's entrance into the MTV era, and it put SRV on the map...sort of.I love David Bowie.
