I've never played one of those. How would they compare to say, a Classic Vibe tele?

My friend got one for his son last year for Christmas, legacy as well. The frets needed a little bit of cleaning, they were a bit tarnished, but otherwise it was a perfectly serviceable guitar and a great value for 300 bucks.
 
Waiting for all that G&L fanboy: "Indonesian G&Ls are better than US Fenders" bullshit...

Haven't played a G&L in years, but the two I tried years ago in a shop seemed to have absolutely zilch in terms of grounding or hum reduction. The only louder guitar - in terms of hum/buzz - I've ever played was an MIK Danelectro.
