Let's say I was able to travel anywhere in Canada

Winnipeg is a'right in the summer. Which lasts from July 1 to August 20 or so.

Regina is nice for the rhyming possibilities.

Niagara Falls is cool from either side.
 
BC is awesome. Whistler is a huge scene, but is pretty wet. A little further east on the rain shadow side of the Cascades looks pretty good. Banff looks too cold in the deep of winter. My son and I are heading to Red Mountain for a cat ski/lift assisted ski trip. It is near Nelson and Rossland, well, really right at Rossland. Looks awesome!
