huh, I somehow always assumed mack the knife was about jack the ripper, and thanks to this thread have now learned that it's about jack sheppard (who was a thief who lived a hundred years or so before the ripper stuff). Thanks internet!

I think it's probably cheaper to buy tomatoes than to grow them, but the homegrown ones are sooooo much better. I got my plants in the ground pretty late this year. Depending on how they do, I may have $1-$2 tomatoes.
