we use abbreviations on construction plans all the time, because you can only fit so much text in a certain space. one of the abbreviations we used to use was for noting that an object (manholes and catch basins) would need "to be adjusted to grade". hence the abbreviation T.B.A.G.
it was brought to our attention that we should change the abbreviation.
