I think it is more a case of mass ADHD.
Yup. I haven't put on music radio in ages, the local classic rock channel plays Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins and Bush and yadda. When they start playing Fallout Boy and Simple Plan I'll turn the radio off forever.
