Just pulled a Range Rover engine and we knew it was bad… had to yank the torque converter with it since the motor was frozen and wouldn’t rotate….saw this written on the back of the flex plate

Pissed off wife?
probably the original owner was a pushy dick customer who kept calling to find out what was wrong with his engine and the mechanic got pissed off. I knew as I was pulling the engine that it had been out because several exhaust bolts were broken, the starter only had one bolt and thge bell housing was missing about 4 bolts.

The unfunny part is that the owner of this Rover is a super nice dude and he only bought it in 2021 for ....wait for it....12,000 dollars. It broke on him (through a rod through the block in Flagstaff during the summer. My boss knew it was bad but he offered him 600 dollars for it since the owner called us and didn't want to fix it ( he bought a new Bronco instead) so my boss got the truck which is very nice interior wise and the paint and body but it is a rust bucket underneath....we are going to put an engine in and sell it.

It's a Range Rover...

... don't they all just come fucking fucked from the fucking factory? :helper:
Jaguar and Range Rover are now owned by Tata, a huge Indian corporation. Just about every vehicle you see in Mumbai was made by Tata.

years ago, I had a Toyota Corolla that threw a rod. Found out they total out engines in Japan at maybe 50k miles for emissions reasons. Not sure of the mileage but you might be able to one from there. I don’t remember how much it was but I was surprised at how affordable it was.

Now I'm curious what it looks like. Pics or, even just year model please.

Story checks out. In the late 70's, I remember our next door neighbor's Corollas both died right after 50K miles.
